A Cheeky Lil’ Catch Up | AUG-DEC 2016

Okay, so I know it’s been aaaaaggggggeeeeeessssss since I wrote some words on here. Sixth Form definitely takes up a lot of time, but hopefully this catch up will show all of the exciting things I’ve done since coming back from the US in July.

(p.s. I know that these are the exciting things I did because they are the things that, I felt, were worthy enough to post on Instagram.)

10TH AUGUST – TRIP TO BRIGHTON

I didn’t do much after I went away until I saw my friend when we went to Brighton. The train to get there was a pain, since it felt like it took FOREVER, but one we got there it was really pretty. We went on a day when the weather was as nice as it could be in August and when we could get some decent photos.

25TH AUGUST – RESULTS DAY

Oh the day we were all dreading. GCSE Results Day. We all went in to school at about 10am and afterwards, my friend and I went for brunch in a town nearby. It was an alright day, considering I passed everything and got good grades and then got brunch. Though it was possibly the day I was dreading the most throughout the year – even more than the actual exam days.

3RD SEPTEMBER – TRIP TO TATE MODERN

We decided we hadn’t been to the Tate since our Art GCSE days and remembered we actually kind of loved it so we went back to visit. We also wanted to go back to see the re-model of the new building. It was incredible as always.

9TH – 11TH SEPTEMBER – BESTIVAL

BESTIVAL OMG. We had so much fun. The weather was nice (though it did rain a little) and I saw all the acts I wanted to, bar maybe one or two because of timings. ALSO, WE WERE ON THE SAME FERRY AS BASTILLE ON THE WAY HOME BUT I DIDN’T GO AND SPEAK TO THEM AND I WILL ALWAYS REGRET IT.

30TH SEPTEMBER – AGAINST THE CURRENT GIG

Of course, I went to go and see them whilst they were in London. As per, they were fab.

13TH OCTOBER – BOAT PARTY

Every year, our sixth form run a boat party or two. I didn’t get many photos and this was the only good one. The boat went from Festival Pier all the way to the O2 and back. It was a good night and I got to see all my friends that went to different schools, which was amazing.

29TH OCTOBER – HALLOWEEN

I went to a Halloween party and came home with some awful photos to show for it so here is a photo of our pumpkins instead.

1ST NOVEMBER – BASTILLE GIG

Ahh the regret continues.

THEY WERE SO GOOD LIVE OMG, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND GOING TO SEE THEM.

10TH DECEMBER – CHRISTMAS PARTY

WE. THREW. A. PARTY. (I know, who are we?)

It was fun but unfortunately I have no photos from it. I just thought I would share the excitement of the prospect of me actually throwing a party.

16TH DECEMBER – THE 1975 GIG

UGH THEY WERE SO GOOD LIVE TOO. Unfortunately, I didn’t get very good photos, but I had a fab time and having seats gave us a pretty good view without being packed into the standing area (though standing would’ve been fab too).

20TH DECEMBER – SIXTH FORM CHRISTMAS SOCIAL

We also had a Christmas social at a local club with our Sixth Form. The music was a bit meh because it was generally quite hyped up rather than playing classics (such as ‘Mr Brightside’) but other than that, we had a lot of fun and took a lot of shameless toilet selfies.

Well that’s all I have done over the past 5 months (as well as school and work which is awfully time consuming). Hopefully, I won’t leave writing too long to need to do another catch up but I can’t promise anything  :))

🙂
