Dreaming of Sun | A Summer Clothing Wishlist
Sun has been a very rare concept in Britain lately. Rain, and a teeny bit of snow, have been on the forecast for a while, and with the release of spring/summer ranges everywhere, it’s a bit sad. To combat this upset, I have put together a wishlist of spring and summer items to think about when the sun finally decides to come out.
WARNING: there are a lot of ASOS products on this list because I’m just a bit obsessed with the site!
In the summer, I love wearing jumpsuits and playsuits, especially on holiday, as it creates an easy, effortless and comfortable outfit for a warm day out. Personally, I like flowy, wide-leg jumpsuits and playsuits in the summer as it is a lot more comfortable to be walking around all day in. My current favourites are: Akasa Wide Leg Jumpsuit, Hollister Cut-out Culotte Jumpsuit, ASOS Mixed Spot Playsuit, ASOS Swing Playsuit.
I, personally, don’t like wearing flip-flops and certain types of sandals. As a result, I usually tend to stick with my Converse and my Toms, however, very occasionally I will find a pair of sandals that fit my feet well and that I really like. These tend to have thicker soles, or more of an espadrille type look. At the moment, I am really loving the look of the ASOS Ferguson Chunky Sandals and ASOS Fizzle Jelly Tie Sandals.
Now, find me someone who doesn’t love a dress in the summer. Similar to the jumpsuits and playlists, I tend to lean towards more flowy and comfortable dresses if I’m walking around all day. I really love white in the summer, but I have also been recently looking forward to wearing a little bit more colour. I am really loving the ASOS Linen Tie Front Sundress, Missguided Grey Marl Vacation Slogan Short Sleeve Dress and the ASOS DESIGN V Front Cotton Smock Dress.
In the summer I really like wearing cami-style tops with shorts, skirts and jeans. These tops are so versatile and comfortable in the heat, whilst also looking good at the same time. I really like wearing patterned and coloured tops if I’m wearing plain shorts or jeans, however, I also like having basic black and white tops that can be paired with anything. The tops that really drew my eye are: the Pull&Bear Sleeveless Top with Ruffles, SHEIN Striped Knit Crop Cami, Zara Halter Neck Top and the Hollister Tie-Back Woven Crop Cami.
Obviously there are so many more things I want to buy and add to this wishlist, if only I had all the money in the world, but until then, I can only dream!
